This is what I keep telling myself, even as I find myself hurtling across the galaxy to an unknown planet; rumors around the House tell me that I might be going to Earth-that-was. I don't know that I believe that; mostly because I believe it is a myth they tell girls to make them less afraid. The Core is clean and organized and keeps its citizens safe and healthy. The stories of Earth-that-was sound wild, and dirty, and disorganized. To my mind, this is not an improvement.
I have been trained in music, art, and seduction, but it has been determined that some companions need a little more of the exotic to attract and entertain desirable clients through their unique conversational topics. I was chosen in a lottery and given this opportunity.
I'm just not sure I wanted it.

Inara is sixteen, 5' 7 1/2" tall, with long brown hair and brown eyes. She is still a companion-in-training and has been sent to Earth, almost against her will, to give her a more diverse education to intrigue clients. She is beautiful and exotic (though poise is occasionally a problem), and is fluent in at least English and Chinese. She has no superpowers, although she may have had some assassin or spy training fairly recentlystupid Fox. Although generally kind and good-hearted, she does have a spine and will be stubborn when she feels it's necessary.
She will not know any of the Firefly/Serenity canon coming in, nor will she know any of the characters from those canons.
